Thousands Take to the Streets in Zimbabwe in Massive Ant-Mugabe Protests

The nonagenarian has ruled the South African country with an iron fist for 28 years and it seems the people want him gone. Thousands took to the street in the capital Harare demanding he step down in a protest organised by main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change. Estimates put the crowd at between 2000 and 10000 protesters.

Youth Accused of Insulting President Magufuli Pleads "Not Guilty"

Isaac Emily was taken to court yesterday after he was accused of insulting president Magufuli through social media. The resident of Olasiti in Arusha city was told his charges by police prosecutor Gaudencia Masanja, in front of the judge in charge of regional court Augustino Rwezile.

Emily is accused of committing the crime on March 17, 2016 which is against the Cyber Law of 2014, section no 14. Masanja said on that day the accused distributed false information through social media, for the purpose of contempting, mocking and abuse president Magufuli.

President Magufuli Officially Opens Construction of Flyovers

President of Tanzania Republic, Dr John Pombe Magufuli has officially open the construction of Fly Overs in Dar Es Salaam city. The president did this today at the junction of Mandela and Nyerere road, speaking to citizens, Magufuli said fly overs will help to solve the problem of traffic jam which disturbs majority of Dar Es Salaam residents.

President also asked Dar Es Salaam leaders to make sure the city is clean with attractive environments always so as to protect the health of Dar Es Salaam residents.

End of Term Envoys are Back Home- Only Dr Burian is Still in Japan

The government has brought back envoys and employees in foreign missions whose contract have expired. Responding to questions from journalists yesterday, the Head of Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, East Africa, Regional and International Cooperation, Ms Mindi Kasiga, said the process was also underway to bring back Dr Batilda Burian, former Ambassador to Japan, who is the only one remaining.

Bryan Thouvenel (41) of Oregon was in great shock when his ex girl friend and baby mama took their then 2 year old daughter Hammony Rain Thouvenel from their home and fled. Bryan who is also a father to two other children 17, 14 tried to track them down for two years without any success. Fortunately one day he got a call from his friend who told him he saw a girl who looked like his daughter Hammony at Salvation Army homeless shelter.

Nigeria Rembers Abducted Chibok Girls, 2 Years After

It's exactly two years today, April 14th that over 200 girls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok in Borno state, were kidnapped by Boko Haram militants. 

 

The whereabouts of ‎219 girls is still unknown. Yesterday, a video from CNN showed some of the girls still in captivity. The Federal government has said they are doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of the girls. Parents,  Family members and indeed Nigerians are waiting and hoping for their safe return.

Feeding my Breast Milk to My Dying Dad Gave Him an Extra Year of Life- Says Daughter

 Hellen Fitzsimmons gave her dad who was battling with cancer, breast milk intended for her son and she believes it helped her Dad to live one year extra. Helen Fitzsimmons, 40, pumped her one-year-old son's milk and gave it to her father Arthur after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Arthur had already been fighting myeloma cancer - which affects bone marrow - for four years when he was told he also had prostate cancer in October 2013.

Desperate to help, Helen started researching treatments and came across medical evidence which showed breast milk can boost the immune system. After tentatively approaching the subject with mum Jean, Arthur told Helen: 'Anything is worth a go.'
