Women Born Without Womb Can Now Have Womb Transplant
This is a very good news to women mostly in United Kingdom who are born without womb. Dr Mats Brannstorm who did the first transplant wants to extend the treatment to other patients in UK.
The Sugery costs £40,000 which is like 88,000,0000 Tanzania Shilings. It's a lot of money so the hospital management is planning to reduce it in the future.
The wombs come from donors mostly from the patient mother. Dr Mats has done nine transplants between 2012 and 2013.
His first patient was Malin Sternbarg (37) who got a womb donation from her friend Ewa Rosen (59). Malin was born with both ovaries but with no womb, the surgery was a success she now has a son Vincent who is one year old.
Thank you Science and technology!!!!
