Kanye West joined Drake on his concert on Wednesday night in Chicago and Kanye took sometime to talk to the crowd before his performance. For the first time Kanye addressed the Kimye and Taylor feud which has been going on in social media for sometime now. The 39 year old rapper said he is glad his wife has a Snapchat, now everyone knows the truth.

"All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat, because now you all can know the truth, and can't nobody talk s**t about 'Ye no more." Said Kanye.

Pope Francis slipped and fell over as he walked towards the Altar in Jasna Gora shrine to celebrate a holly mass. The 79 year old Pontiff who is in Poland since Wednesday will be touring the various religious and cultural locations in Poland.

Ban on Political Rallies Still Stands - Says Police

Police have maintained their stand to ban all public meetings indefinitely as CHADEMA. Yesterday declared its intention to go ahead with plans to hold nationwide rallies on September 1. CHADEMA have said they intend to hold the rallies to denounce what the party termed as violation of principles

of good governance by the government.

The police force issued a stop order for any rally in the country by banning all meetings by political parties, warning that whoever would be caught defying the directive would squarely dealt with.

EPA Has Never Made Much Sense For Tanzania

The EPA issue has once again re-emerged when Tanzania informed EAC Members and The European Commission reportedly proposed signature of the EAC EPA in Nairobi, on the sidelines of the 14th session of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIV). 

This is a major quadrennial event where all UN Member States negotiate guidance for UNCTAD, a UN institution working on trade and development. For the European Commission, it would have been propitious place for a signature ceremony in order to project the EPA as a trade and development agreement to the benefit of EAC. Yet the agreement is antithetical to Tanzania's as well as the region's  trade and development prospects.

Dr Dree Handcuffed & Searched by Cops After a Racist Reported He Had a Gun

Rapper Andre Romelle Young, famously known as Dr Dree was handcuffed and searched by cops after an allegedly racist reported to the cops that he had a gun. According to TMZ, Dr Dree arrived in his home Malibu when he saw a motorist parked outside his home on his driveway.

The rapper asked the motorist nicely to move so that he may enter his home, the motorist started cursing, he moved out of the driveway to the side and continued to curse and yelling.

86 Year Old Catholic Priest Killed By Suspected ISIS Men in France

Father Jacques Hamel was killed today morning by two men suspected to be ISIS soldiers, the sad event happened near Normandy, city of Rouen, France. According to reports from the crime scene the two men armed with knife shouted 'Daesh' a message in support of Islamic State as they launched the attack.

Tractor Assembly to Begin at Makeshift Factory in Kibaha

The government is looking for temporary premises to begin tractor assembling by Polish tractor firm, Ursus S.A, as construction of an assembling plant is scheduled to begin this financial year at Kibaha in Coast Region. The Permanent Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Adelhem Meru, confirmed to the Daily News yesterday that the project, which is part of a 110 million US dollars soft loan from Poland, would begin at a temporary location while construction plans for an assembling factory were being finalised.

President Magufuli Marks the Day of Warriors in Dodoma

President Magufuli, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, formers presidents and other government officials were in Dodoma today to celebrate warriors day. 25th July, is the date which soldiers from Kampala Uganda arrived in Tanzania after the overthrow of Idd Amin. This is the first time the event took place in the capital region Dodoma.

Party Cleansing, Dodoma Move High on CCM Plan

Newly elected CCM National Chairman and Union President John Magufuli has outlined key priority areas that he intends to accomplish as the new party boss, among them the fight against corruption within the party. 

Dr Magufuli also expressed his commitment to transfer all government offices and institutions to Dodoma before the end of his first term in office. In his acceptance speech immediately after he was elected the new CCM National Chairman by all delegates of the party's national congress that was convened by his predecessor, Jakaya Kikwete, Dr Magufuli promised to weed out unethical practices in the party including corruption.

Former Tanzania president Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete is currently in Dodoma for their CCM party meeting to vote for a new chairman. Hon. Kikwete made a speech before they voted for new chairman and here under are some of the things he said. 

"It wasn't easy for Dr John Pombe Magufuli (JPM) to accept to be the new chairman of CCM, we had to take extra efforts to convince him  untill he accepted. There was no any strategy planned for me to refuse to handover my seat, the press lied. If it's was true that I never wanted to handover my seat,after the president told me he wasn't in any hurry to accept the seat, I wouldn't have asked Mr Mangula to speak to JPM."

Dar Aware and Ready For Any Terrorist Threat Says Dr Mahiga

Foreign Affairs, East African, Regional and International Cooperation Minister, Dr Augustine Mahiga, said yesterday that while Tanzania was aware of the terrorist threat in the region, it's defence and security forces will always be attentive to any unusual movement in its midst. 

He further said that terrorism in the Horn of Africa and the East African region were among the major issues that were discussed at the 27th African Unuion (AU) Summit in Kigali, Rwanda. The minister said that to this effect, African leaders have agreed to allocate a special fund to fight terrorism in the Horn of Africa and East Africa region. 

Lady Gaga and Her Fiancé Taylor Kinney Splits

Lady Gaga and her longtime lover and fiancée Taylor Kinney have split. According to U.S. magazine Lady Gaga and Kinney decided to take a break due to the long distance between them as Gaga is busy working out on her new album and Kinney went back to Chicago to work.

However Lady Gaga confirmed on Tuesday that she and Kinney haven't ended things for good, they are still best friends and they could definitely get back together in future.

Melania Trump addressed the Republican National Convention for her first major political speech. The Slovenian native who is the wife of Donald Trump talked to thousands of people thanking them for choosing her husband to be the next presidential candidate for U.S.

The former model labeled her husband as a kind, caring, talented, compassionate and unrelenting leader who will unify the nation rather than dividing it. However similarities between her speech and that of Michele Obama when she firstly addressed Democratic National Convention in 2008 were quickly pointed out.

The teaser which was shared by James on SnapChat shows James arriving in the White House for a tour before the First Lady gets into his car telling him "I hear you're here for a 1:45 tour and I had a little time on my hands so you want to go for a spin?" 

TRA to Supervise Local Government on Property Tax Collection

Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) plans to deploy staff in the local government to collect property tax on its behalf in an effort to have an adequate work force to undertake the task that the government has assigned the taxman this fiscal year.

Unveiling the national budget proposal for the 2016/17 financial year, Finance and Planning Minister, Dr Philip Mapango, said in theNational Assembly recently that TRA was going to take over the duty of collecting property tax from the local government. He noted that the move was aimed at maximising revenue collection from the current booming housing sector.

The 28 year old famous singer also hinted that her son Angelo is now three years old and ready to start to school so she might take a little break after her tour to spend time with her family. Argentina footballer Lionel Messi and his father Jorge have been sentenced to 21 months imprisonments for tax evasion. Luckily under Spanish law any sentence below two years can be served under probation therefore Messi and his father may not serve any time at all.

TRA Clarifies on 18 PC VAT on Bank Transactions

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) yesterday gave clarification on the 18 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) on bank transactions saying the amount is levied from the set transaction fees. The TRA Principal Research Officer, Mr Beldom Chaula, told reporters yesterday that there has been confusion among the public on the said 18 percent VAT.

Mr Chaula was speaking during a news conference at the TRA headquarters. He said some people have been misleading the public saying 18 percent VAT on financial transactions will be charged from the amount that is withdrawn or deposited by customers. Instead, the TRA official said, VAT is charged from the set transaction fee.

Woman Praised by Police For Hitting Thugs With Her Car

Police have congratulated one woman (name withheld) for her courage of crashing thugs with her car after they invaded her shop.  Police commander Mr Simon Siro told reporters yesterday that the incident happened on June 21, at Buguruni Malapa in Dar Es Salaam city.

This woman was in her shop around late evening hours when thugs invaded her shop and ordered her to handover all the money she had gather in that day sells. She asked them not to hurt her and allowed them to enter the shop and take whatever they want.

Judge Explains Why She Sentenced Oscar Pistorius to Only Six Years in Prison

Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to six years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The judge Thokozile Masipa who pronounced the judgement this morning and who was also gave him light sentence in the first trial back in 2014, gave a statement explaining why she gave only six years imprisonment. 

'It is for this court now to impose the appropriate sentence for murder,' she begins. 'I must decide whether there is any cause not to impose the 15-year minimum sentence having considered all the evidence but will not set it all out in detail now.' Masipa talks about the evidence given by defence witness Professor Jonathan Scholtz, a clinical psychologist who reported on Pistorius’ mental state.

According to Masipa, Scholtz found that Pistorius displayed symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression, and was not well enough to testify in the sentencing proceedings. Scholtz’s report, she reads, says Pistorius’ childhood experiences made “him aware of his own and his family’s vulnerability to crime”.

Police, Sumatra Ban 15 Buses For Flouting Rules

Traffic police and Surface and Marine Transport Regulatory Authority (SUMATRA) have banned 15 buses owned by four companies from operating within the country for flouting traffic rules. Twelve out of the 15 buses are owned by City Boy Company while the remaining three go by the Super Samy, Ota and Mohammed Trans trademarks. 

The decision has been reached following the recent wave of road accidents that has claimed hundreds of lives and left many others maimed. According to the SUMATRA Director General, Mr Gilliard Ngewe, the suspended buses will be allowed to resume operation upon submitting a comprehensive report confirming that the vehicles in question meet the required standards. 

Oscar Pistorius Sentenced to Six Years in Prison

Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to six years in prison, for the murder of his late girl friend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius was facing up to 15 years in prison but the judge gave him six years citing  'substantial and compelling reasons' as main factors for deviating from 15 years.

"People Used My Beef With Diamond to Get Followers" Says Wema Sepetu

Recently Naseeb Abdul a.k.a Diamond Platinumz and Wema Sepetu have been promoting each other's business via their IG pages.  Few months ago Wema posted Diamond on her IG page and asked her followers to vote for him for BET awards, then few days back Diamond posted Wema on his IG page promoting her show with Chrstian Bella and Idris Sultan. 

These two incidents have broke the so called 'Team Wema' and 'Team Diamond' since the two celebrities are no longer beefing rather supporting their work. Wema was interviewed by Millard Ayo yesterday and was asked how does she feel about Diamond's support to her work, this was her reply:
