Waitress Assaulted For Serving Alcohol During Ramadan

A French waitress was allergly assaulted by two Islamic men for serving alcohol during Ramadan. According toThe Times report, a Muslim woman native of Tunia was working on the terrace of the Vitus Cafe in Nice when suddenly two passers-by assaulted her for serving some alcohol to customers during Ramadan on Wednesday.

Cybercrime Law Has Reduce Inflammatory and Inappropriate Images - Says Deputy Minister

Deputy Minister of Construction Transport and Communication, Engineer Edwin Ngonyani, said in the ongoing parliament meetings that, the 2015 Cybercrime law has helped a lot to reduce inflammatory and inappropriate images in the internet especial in social media.

Engineer Ngonyani said so after he wa asked by Hon.Ridhiwani Kikwete Member of Parliament (MP) of Chalinze district; "what benefits have we accumulate since the inception of cybercrime law?"

TCRA Considers to Suspend Free-to-Air Channels on Pay TV Services

Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA)is considering to either suspend free-to-air channels on pay TV services or not. The main of freezing the plan is to cut operational cost incurred by the government financing pay TV providers to air freely some of the domestic channels. 

When Tanzania decided to shift from analogue television signal to digital on Ddecember 31, 2012; four channels were offered freely by Pay TV services providers as they are financed by government subsidy. The channels include Independent Television (ITV),Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC), Star TV and Channel Ten. 

Tanzania's Tourist Attractions Labeled 'Wolrd Heritage Site'

Few of Tanzania's tourist attractions have been labeled World Heritage Sites by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Out of 16 Tanzania's national parks and over 20 game reserves it's only, Ngorogoro crater, Serengeti national park, Mount Kilimanjaro, The Stone Town of Zanzibar, Selous Game Reserve, the Ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani, Ruins of Songo Mnara and the Kolo Rock Arts of Kondoa.

Man Announced in Facebook That He is Going to a Monastery, Then Commit Suicid.

Man identified as Daniel Georg Zurcher was found  by staffs dead in Moona hotel room, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

According to hotel registry book, he checked in on May 26, and asked hotel staff to get him prescription drugs to help him sleep.

Eight People Murdered in Tanga, Residents in Shock

Eight people have been mercilessly murdered at Mabatini hamlet in Tanga region, on Tuesday night. A resident known as Kea Leornard told the citizen that the killers used cutlasses and knives to commit the murder. The eight victims were all stabbed in the neck from behind.

"We were very horrified when we saw the bodies of the deceased, and it's not easy to figure out what their motive was." Kea said.

Most of Treasury Budget to Serve National Debt

Finance and Planning Minister Philip Mpango tabled in the National Assembly yesterday budget estimates for his ministry, asking the House to approve a total of 8.716trillion/- for the fiscal year 2016/2017, a large chunk of which will be used to service the national debt. 

Available data indicate that the national debt, comprising domestic and foreign loans, has swelled to 42tri/- as of January, this year. The funds were used to finance implementation of development projects in various sectors of the economy.

Newlywed Drowns in the Pool During Honeymoon

A newlywed Chinese man drowned in the pool while on honeymoon in Pattaya, Thailand, in the early hours of Wednesday June 1.

20-year-old student, Han Mu drowned in the swimming pool of the Adriatic Palace Hotel in tambon Nong Prue of Bang Lamung district early this morning around 1am. 

Sawangborirbon organisation rescuers rushed to the hotel and found the Chinese man lying unconscious on the edge of the swimming pool. Medics gave the man CPR, but could not resuscitate him.

The number one female artist in Tanzania said she and Shilole weren't beefing for real, they planned the whole thing to prove that Tanzanian reacts more on negative issues than positive. Vanessa mentioned a few of positive things such as Fezza Kessy owning a Rehabilitation Center, former Tanzania miss universe 2010 Hellen Dause was mentioned in the list of under 30 years upcoming billioners by Forbes; and many others but non of these positive issues trended in Social Media. 

New Prices of Petrol, Dissel, Kerosine Officialy in Use From Today- Says EWURA

Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) issued new prices for petrol, kerosine and Dissel for wholesale and retail market within all regions in Tanzania. The new prices begin to serve officially today June 1, 2016. 

Tanga town municipality has most cheapest prices for Petrol, Kerosine and Dissel while Uvinza district in Kigoma region has most expensive prices of Tsh 2,108. See the short list of prices after the cut:

Brief Note to TuPeB Readers

Helo TuPeB readers, how are you all doing?

Few weeks have passed by without update in Tunu Peter Blog, I am writing this note to explain my reason as well as to apologise to my readers. I had to travel to various places in the up country for personal matters, unfortunately I couldn't access internet from these areas, that's why I couldn't post any news in the blog.

I truly apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused, I hope to begin this new month with you all and be able to inform you about current issues happening all over the world. Thank you for your understanding and for always visiting Tunu Peter Blog, God Bless You All.
