First, watch your fat intake, each fat gram contains 9 calories so by reading the total calories on a food and knowing the quantity of fat, you can estimate the percent of fat, which should in no way exceed 30% of the food.

Tax Compliance on the Increase

In its quest to ensure that at least 2trillion is collected per month, the government has managed to collect 1.79trillion last month up from 1.4 trillion collected in December. 

Acting Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Commissioner General, Alphayo Kidata, said at a news conference in Dar Es Salaam that the money was collected from domestic revenue sources after proper systems to make thorough followups and ensuring overall taxpayer compliance.

NECTA Refutes Delayed Form Four Exams Results Claims

The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has disproved the information circulating in the social media which says, form four 2015 examination results have been suspended due to massive failure caused by incompetence markers.

Speaking to Daily News, the NECTA spokesperson John Nchimbi said the information is false, form four exams results will be released any time from now.

Four DEDs in Corruption Scandle to Silence Auditors

The President's Office (Regional Adminstration and Local Governments) has unearthed a trend by some District Executive Directors (DEDs) and executives in four district councils who bribed auditors from the National Audit Office of Tanzania (NAOT) to cover up irregularities in their financial reports.

In another development, Tunduma DED, Halima Mpita, has been stripped of her position for abuse of office and loss of revenues collected from motor vehicles passing through the country's biusiest border post.

Several Gathers at Muhimbili Hospital for John Woka Funeral (Photos)

 

Family, friends and fans have gathered at Muhimbili National Hospital for the rapper John Woka funeral. Rapper John Woka whose real name is Michael Denis Mhina passed on the day before yesterday after he was hit by a sharp iron on his head while fixing a car. His funeral mass will be held in Dar Es Salam, thereafter he will be transported to Tanga region for the burial. 

John Woka was born on 19th August 1981 and he died on 15th February 2016. He was mostly known for rapping like a drunk in Bongo Flavour, Hip Hop music. May His Soul Rest In Peace Amen.

First Lady Janeth Magufuli Says Goodbye to Her Pupils and Collegues (Photos)

The First Lady of Tanzania, Janeth Magufuli, said goodbye to her pupils and colleagues at Mbuyuni Primary School. Mama Janeth Magufuli started her education in the same school from standard one to seven then in 1995 she returned to be a teacher in the same school. She has been teaching there from 1995 untill 2015 when her husband Dr John Pombe Magufuli, was sworn in as the president.

Wema Sepetu Looses Her Pregnancy, Idris Sultan Expresses His Sadness

Idris Sultan and Wema Sepetu made official statement in Clouds Fm Radio, that they are expecting a child. Judge Lubuva Speaks on New Constitution

Chairman of National Election Commitee (NEC) retired Judge Damian Lubuva said after the completion of general election which was held 25th October 2015, the committee is now ready to deal with the preparations for new constitution.

Judge Lubuva said this after some new constitution representatives asked Dr Magufuli to refuse opinion poll and allow for some changes to be done in the proposed constitution instead.

Four senior officials at the Medical Stores Department (MSD) have been suspended over embezzlement charges involving 1.5bn Tsh.

They are Zonal and Customer Care Director Cosmas Mwaifani, Director of Finance and Planning, Joseph Tesha, the Director of Supplies, Misanga Muja, and the Director of Procurement, Herry Mchunga.

Minister of Education, Vocational Training,  Science and Technology Dr Joyce Ndalichako, has suspend Loan Board Executive Director George Nyatenga, to allow investigation.

Dr Joyce Ndalichako said she has ordered internal government auditor to preview and inspect all documents submitted by the Loan Board from year 2013.

Rapper John Walker, who was mostly known for rapping like a drunk, has died. According to a source close to him, John Walker was hit by gas explosion the day before yesterday and he was admitted at Muhimbili hospital. Unfortunately he passed on early today morning, his  brother Omary Milay said:

11 Dead, 29 Wounded in A Bus Accident of Simba Company

11 people are dead with 29 others wounded after a bus of Simba wa Mtoto company crushed in Tanga region. The cause of accident is the the bus collided with a truck of sand face to face, both drivers died on the spot. Speaking to ITV station, Tanga Region  Police commander, Mihayo Mskhela said:

"Up to now there are 11 people dead, procedure of handling six bodies to their families is in progress. Five injured people are in a bad state and both drivers have died."

Passengers Survives Death After Fery MV Kigamboni Fails to Work

News circulating social media right now is that several passengers survived death after MV Kigamboni ferry failed to work in the middle of the ocean. According to a realible source MV Kigamboni overloaded then it shut off in the middle of ocean and water started getting inside the Fery. This caused a lot of fear to the onboard passengers, some were heard screaming while others decided to swim to save their lives. However there is no news of any injuries or death so far. Hi everyone! How is your Sunday? It's another Sunday and as usual I will give the five tips for loosing weight healthly. So let's proceed:
First, 50-55% of your diet should be carbohydrates. It's a myth that you should try and avoid carbohydrates when you are on a diet. Rather the other way round I should say. Carbohydrates are a ready source of energy and so 50-55% of your diet should be carbohydrates.
