Lesson of the Day- Discover the Most Coveted Secret by Successful In Sales

Sales can be a tricky field to work in. The pace is fast and the work is endless. You can't just make one sale and see success, but rather you must make a series of sales before you are successful. Even then, that string of successes can be followed by a string of failures that puts you right back where you started. Seems exhausting, doesn't it?

There is one secret though, that can turn your sales around..... One secret that is coveted by the most successful of salespeople. What is it? Building emotional strength.

Why is building emotional strength the most coveted secret by successful salespeople? Bryan Flanagan has an answer for that in his book "Encouragement For The Sales Professional: Rekindling your Passion for your Profession." Flanagan explains in his book that selling is a profession that allows " more opportunities to fail than other professions. Therefore, we have got to be emotionally stronger than any other profession".

Emotional strength? Flanagan isn't talking about being able to cry on command or yell in rage at the drop of a pin. He's talking about developing the emotional tools to keep your mind in order when everything else is falling apart. Flanagan believes success in the sales profession "depends on the thickness of your skin" and he's right.

You cannot succeed in the sales until you learn to separate your emotional inner dialogue from the reality of what you are doing: selling. Here is the thing. Think about the last time you went to the store and had to decide what to buy. You probably couldn't purchase everything in the store and you probably had to make a few simple decisions on wether you were going to buy one brand or another, something as simple as choosing between a Coca cola and Pepsi. While you may have been able to afford to purchase both soft drinks, you only needed one beverage. So, you made a decision, and then you went on with your day.

Much like how you decide between brands in the store, people decide between items when they are buying from you. If you take each sale personally, you won't ever grow. You must always remember that a sale is a decision and that the buyer is going to move on with their life and not sit debating wether or not that Pepsi would have been more tasteful than the Coca-cola they decided to buy. Therefore, you shouldn't either.

Don't hold yourself back by allowing the decisions of others to invade your emotions. Do your job, work hard, and attempt to make a sale. If it doesn't happen, move on. Learn from the experience, but move forward. Trust me, there will be more sales where you can get your validation in the future.

More Steps in Pipeline to Promote Women Rights

WOMEN have a reason to smile as the government promises to take five important steps to promote gender equality and protect rights of women in the country.

important steps includes, among others, enacting new laws and amending policies and outdated laws discriminating and oppressing rights of women.
The announcement was made over the weekend by President Jakaya Kikwete when speaking at the Global leaders meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: A Commitment to Action attended by different heads of states at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York, United States.
The five steps in promoting gender equality and protecting rights of women will be implemented between 2015 to 2030, include making major amendments of laws oppressing women and enacting laws that promote gender equality and will be part of implementation of the post -2015 development agenda, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among steps to be taken include amending or removing laws that continue to oppress women such as the marriage act, heritage acts and enacting new laws that will curb violence against women.
President Kikwete said at the meeting organised jointly by China, Denmark, Mexico and Kenya, that the second step that will be taken by Tanzania is to ratify all international agreements on rights of women, especially on elimination of all forms of discrimination against women (CEDAW).
Other steps that will be taken in the next 15 years include supporting and promoting 50-50 gender parity between men and women in all decision making levels, seeking and use of correct data and information in enacting policies and making decisions that will end gender based discriminations.
More steps target enactment and implementing of monitoring systems of gender based rights and women’s rights agreed at the internationally and local government levels.
Mr Kikwete also gave detailed account on steps already taken by Tanzania in recent years to build gender equality in the country, which includes amendments to the Land Acts of 1999 and its 2004 amendments, giving women the right to acquire, hold, use and deal with land to the same extent and subject to the same restrictions as rights of any man.
He said other steps include giving women equal opportunity as men in decision making and leadership levels in all spheres including politics and economic, adding that currently, the number of women MPs has increased from 21.5 per cent in 2005 to 34.5 per cent in 2015.
Women ministers have increased from six in 2005 to 26 in 2015, while women judges have increased from four in 2005 to 41 in 2015. Other measure taken by the government includes reducing maternal deaths, enacting laws against gender-based violence and violence against women and children.
Preparation of national budgets that takes into account needs of women and empowering women through establishing the Tanzania Women’s Bank (TWB), with the sole purpose of providing low interest loans to women operating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), is yet another such measure.

Dr Magufuli Defends President Kikwete on Foreign Travel

UNION presidential candidate on CCM ticket, Dr John Magufuli, has defended President Jakaya Kikwete’s foreign trips, saying those criticizing them, including politicians, should be ignored.
He said a number of development projects that have been implemented by the government were donor funded and there was no way such funding could be obtained without travelling overseas.
Addressing residents of Chamwino District at the Mvumi Mission Grounds, the presidential candidate said that a number of projects, including road networks that connect the whole country were due to such trips.
He noted that the recent move by the United States-based Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to agree to release nearly 1 trillion/- for power projects was also a clear indication of positive results of such trips by the president.
He affirmed that it was absurd, cheap politics and illogical for anyone who is wise to blame President Kikwete over such trips as their results were crystal clear.
“We are now planning to electrify villages; we are going to use the MCC funds to achieve this; I am shocked by those who say that these trips are worthless,” he told his audience, cautioning them to shun politicians who criticise each and everything.
He noted that it was impossible for any person to stay indoors and yet wants to register development. A number of politicians, especially those from the opposition outfit, have been speaking ill of President Kikwete’s trips, saying that they were worthless.

See What A Lady Mistakely Sent Her Boss

This anonymous lady made a snap picture of her bare tammy and breast which was meant for her boyfriend as a late night treat. Along with the picture she wrote "what ur missing this weekend"

Unfortunately she mistakenly sent it to her boss and her boss returned the picture with the message read "Hi, you probably did not mean to send this to me, but please be more careful. I am your BOSS."

The boss message is kinda polite and understanding, I love it. If it had happen to some bosses I know, am sure that employment contract termination letter will be waiting on her table. Lol!!!!!
