Policeman Wanted by Police For the Crime of Forged Certificates

Policeman known as Emmanuel Nyagoli is wanted by Police of Ruvuma region for the crime of forged certificate. According to Ruvuma TV, Mr Emmanuel who is 35 year old, was a police man in a unit of FFU with registered number F 5425 PC; forged the certificates he used to acquire his current job.

Ruvuma Regional Police Commisioner (RPC) Mr Zuberi said in a brief statement, that police force found out recently that Emmanuel forged certificates he used to acquire his current job, during early arrangement of arresting him, someone had given him the information so he escaped.

Dar Es Salaam city mayor Isaya Mwita, has been sworn in today by the judge in charge Aziza Kali of Sokoine Drive court, at Karimjee hall in the city centre. Soon after he was sworn in Isaya Mwita said he doesn't agree with house demolish (bomoabomoa) which has been going on in the so called dangerous environment in Dar Es Salaam city.

However he said he is will agree with it, if only he is given a report which states where exactly will the victims live after their houses are demolished.

British Boxer Nick Blackwell in Coma After Suffering Brain Injuries

British Boxer Nick Blackwell (right) is currently in an induced coma after suffering brain injuries in a domestic title fight on Saturday. Nicky fought with  Chris Aubank Jr, who punched him a lot on his head from first round to the tenth round. The referee didn't stop the match untill when the doctor indicated Nick couldn't continue with the fight due to severe brain injuries.

America Stops Its Aid to Tanzania Government

Funding agency of United States of America government has stopped its aid to Tanzania government, due to lack of transparency and fairness in Zanzibar election as well as failure to implement Internet Law.

Board of directors for agency of challenges of Milenia (Shirika la Changamoto za Milenia MCC) has said, Tanzania hasn't complete the standards required so as to receive aid from the agency; therefore it will not receive the aid of the second phase which is $472.8 equal to one trillion Tanzania shillings.

TTCL Plans to Expel 400 Workers

Tanzania Telephone company (TTCL) is planning to expel 400 workers who are no longer needed due to quick improvement in science and technology.  TTCL which provides telephone services and network to private telephone companies will expel 400 workers, so as to increase its performance which now faces a lot of challenges from competitive private telephone companies.

Early last year, government decided to purchase 35% of TTCL stock which were owned by a large telephone company in India, Bharti Airtel and latter in May 2015 the deputy minister of Science and technology then, January Makamba told the parliament that the government is in its final preparations to purchase all stocks of TTCL company.

Singer Elton John is being sued by his former bodyguard Jeffrey Wenninger for sexual harassment. Jeffrey sent his boss the law suit yesterday, where he stated Elton tried in different occasions to grab his genitals and twist his nipples. Three SUMA JKT Guards Detained For the Theft of 50 Computers in UDOM

Three security officers of SUMA JKT and one police officer from central police station in Dodoma region, have been detained for the theft of 50 computers, which are properties of UDOM (Univeristy of Dodoma).

According to the source of information, the theft occurred the day before yesterday after the college closed for Easter holiday. Three security officers detained are responsible for the security of the university and all its properties.

House Changes not Graft Claims Prompted Ndugai

The move by the National Assembly to restructure the parliamentary standing committee is routine and has nothing to do with allegations of corruption as alleged in the social media and one local media outlet. 

A statement issued to the media yesterday by the assembly's Coomunication Department, noted that the changes are routine and aimed at improving efficiency of the parliamentary committees.

50 Arrested in Dar Over Car Thefts

Police in Dar Es Salaam are holding 50 people allegedly linked to cases of stolen vehicles reported throughout the city, thanks to the intensified operation to stem an outbreak of car thefts within the country's commercial city.

Dar Es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander, Simon Sirro told reporters in Dar Es Salaam that the suspects were found in possession of 24 stolen vehicles. He said the arrest facilitated by the ongoing crackdown at various areas in the city and the cars were found hidden in Lake Zone regions of Mwanza, Geita, Shinyanga and Kagera.

Deceitful traders allegedly conspiring to create artificial sugar shortage in the country came under strong condemnation yesterday, with authorities describing them as economic saboteurs who deserve stern punitive measures.

The Ministry of Indusrty, Trade and Investment and the Sugar Board of Tanzania (SBT), at different forums in Dar Es Salaam, has assured the the people of sufficient stock of the essential commodity, pleading with the public to volunteer any information that could lead to the arrest of all those who connive to hoard sugar,

Traditional Healer Arrested For Aborting Seven Months Old Pregnancy

A traditional healer, Juma Ramadhani and Masai college of tourism student, Saumu Mohamed (19) have been arrested by police for destroying and aborting a seven months old pregnancy. Tanga Region Police Commissioner (RPC), Mihayo Msikhela told journalists yesterday that, the suspects are residents of Sahare street, they were caught on 29 February 2016, at 8.00pm in their street which is located at Mzingani ward.

Mr Mihayo said the suspects  were caught after citizens picked a dead infant of female gender who allegedly was seven months old pregnancy.

Moshi Leather Factory Fined 20m/ Over Environmental Law Breach

Moshi Leather Industries Limited has been fined 20m/ by the government over environmental law breach. The deputy minister in the Vice Presidents Office, Union Matters and Environment, Mr Luhaga Mpina along with other National Environment Management Council (NEMC) visited the industry and conducted an inspection which raised concern.

Mr Mpina wanted to know why the industry hasn't comply with the environmental rules and regulations, however the company environmental officer Ms Halima Mtiga couldn't give any reasonable explanation.

Medic Fired Over 100,000/- Bribe

The Prime Minister, Mr Kassim Majaliwa, has ordered the suspension of a surgeon at Ligula Regional Referral Hospital in Mtwara Municipality, Dr Fortunatus Namahala, who refused to conduct surgery on patient unless he was given 100,000/- bribe.

He also ordered the closure of all pharmacies outside the regional hospital with effect from Monday. Mtwara Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr Alfred Luanda, was tasked with ensuring smooth implementation of the directive.
