The Supreme Court of Mwanza region has dismissed the case against election results which was opened by Stephen Wasira's assistants on the ground that the complainants have no right bringing the legal case.
The former CCM Bunda town district MP, Stephen Wasira had lost in the election to CHADEMA MP candidate Esther Bulaya. Wasira's assistant went to court asking the court to annul election results on the ground that, there were a lot of cheating during the election; in fact in some of polling stations number of votes were large than number of voters. Therefore they asked the court to nullify Bulaya's victory.
Bulaya moved to CHADEMA from CCM and she was given an opportunity to contest in the last general election were she defeated Stephen Wassira who has been an MP of Bunda town for many years as well as a minister in the fourth phase government.
Esther Bulays wrote about the case on her Facebook page saying:
"I defeated Wasira through citizen votes, and now I have defeated him in court, the Supreme Court of Mwanza region has dismissed the case against election results which was opened by Wasira's assistants."
"God stands with good people. I trust in you my God, you are my protector. Thank you so much to you all Bunda Town citizens who went to Mwanza to listen the final judgement."
"Am already in Dodoma ready to start parliament meetings tomorrow."
