Ordinary Level Final National Examinations Begins Today in Tanzania
A total of 448,358 candidates are expect to sit for form four national examinations which begins today in Tanzania and end on 27 November 2015. The permanent secretary in the ministry of education and vocational training insisted that ant cheating must be emphasised throughout the examination period adding that any student, teacher or invigilator caught engaging in such unlawful act will be punished severely basing on the examinations rules and regulations.
Moreover Dr Mchome said they expect performance level to increase this year because majority of the candidates examined in Mock examinations perfomed well. He advised students to concentrate on preparing themselves for the exams instead of searching for a leaked paper, this time they have ,are sure no paper was leaked.
According NECTA reports 394,143 candidates are school candidates while 54,115 are private candidates. In schools 193,082 candidates are boys and 201,161 girls, while 345 among the candidates are those with disability. "We have managed to dispatch all necessary exam materials without hitches," NECTA Executive Director, Dr Charles Msonde, told a press conference in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.
