"It is important that people manage the project infrastructure and buses because the transport system is very helpful in minimising congestion as well as saving a lot of time to one's destination point." She said.
Ms Samia attended the event that provide food stuffs worth 65m/- to 19 groups that are in need for Iftar organised by UDART. Speaking in the event the VP said "This is an offering that is granted in good faith, I therefore call on the people who will be distributing the food stuff to ensure it is channeled to the intended people."
Ms Samia went further citing verses from Quran saying 'every person who has fasted his or her sustenance comes from God'. She therefore advised women with disabled children to care for them because God provide to all his creation.
"In front of God, all human beings are equal, to him nothing is worthless, therefore I urge you take good care of your children." She said.
On the other hand UDART chairman, Mr Robert Kisena wished all the Muslims well on their period of Ramadan and also commented about BRT project saying it was facing a lot of challenges because it was a public transport of its on kind that many residents aren't familiar with.
"Accidents cases have gone down compared to when the public transport begun" said the chairman. Moreover Dar Es Salaam Regional Sheikh, Alhaj Mussa Salum applauded UDART for their support to the people in need citing verses from Quran saying "for anyone who provided Iftar to a person who fasts the reward was similar to the one who fasted."
