Fiona Parry, 40, was with her children when she was attacked in a broad daylight assault
These are the first pictures a mum beaten almost to death as she took her children to school as her Loved ones keep a vigil by her bedside.
Fiona Parry, 40, was pushing a pram with a baby in when she was attacked in a broad daylight assault.
The mother-of-six is now fighting for her life in a specialist hospital that has the best chance of treating her potentially-fatal head injuries.
As the first images of the victim emerge her loved ones have thanked the public for their messages of support.
Fiona’s sister, Sandra Cavanagh and her mother Margaret Lloyd, both of Caernarfon, are at her bedside at a hospital in Stoke, which specialises in treating head injuries.
Sandra told the Daily Post: "I just feel I want to be with her.
Sandra said: "They have put her in an intense coma to relieve her pain.”
"As a family, we'd like to thank the many messages of support we've had - too many to answer.
"It's good to know that there are so many people supporting the family especially at a
time like this.
"We just keep hoping that she'll pull through this for the sake of her young children.
to give them as much love as they get from Fiona.
"We want to make sure they are safe."
In a message on Facebook, her other sister Nicky Lloyd added: "Xx bryshia wella Fiona - plant bach na eisio chdi xx [Get well soon Fiona - those young children want you xx]."
Roy Owen, the victim’s stepdad, said his step-daughter had been savagely beaten.
Mr Owen, a Gwynedd councillor and former Caernarfon mayor, said: "The next 24 hours are going to be critical.
"We're told the man threw the pram out of the way so he could get at Fiona.
"It was right in front of other children, too, so they will all be traumatised.
"The whole family is really shocked."
The attack happened on a lane at Cefn Cadnant between Ffordd Llanberis and Maesincla, Caernarfon and was witnessed by children walking to the nearby Ysgol Maesincla primary school and Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen secondary.
The scene was was taped off yesterday but has now reopened.
North Wales Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman said: "The man arrested is being interviewed.
"The woman remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition."
