Tanzania Labour Party (TLP) yesterday launched its presidential campaign at Mwembeyanga grounds in Temeke Dar Es salaam. The TLP presidential candidate Mr Maxmillian Lyimo addressed the citizens and promised to change the parliament. He said when he is the president, he will make sure the parliament comprises representatives from all walks of life so as to easier democracy within all groups in the country.
The TLP candidate also promised to provide free education to all, as well as changing the education system to make it more competitive and adaptive to science and technological changes. He also said education will focus on religion education, self reliance to help those who graduates to employ themselves.
Moreover he said the country is blessed with a lot of natural resources therefore he will make sure all resources are well utilised so as to increase per capital income. He added
“The whole world knows how blessed we are, we have a lot of natural resources which have been largely exploited by foreigners,” said Mr Lyimo “We cannot continue to live in poverty while what we have is enough to finance a better life not only in Africa but the world at large,”
Furthermore he promised to maintain peace within the country and end albinos killings going on in some of the regions within the country. He also claimed to be sent by God to save the country.
