Witness Tells How He Found Gwajima's Gun in Bag at TMJ Hospital

A witness tells how Gwajima's gun, and other things were found in a green bag at TMJ hospital. Before Principal Resident Magistrate Cyprian Mkeha, detective Sospeter explained how accused, Yeconia Bihagoze, George Mzava and Geofrey Andrew Milulu, arrived at the hospital at around 3am with a green bag.

He asked them what were they looking for at the hospital and they replied nothing that concerns a police officer. It was due to their reply he felt something fish was going on. He therefore communicated to his boss who sent more officers to inspect the bag.

Inside the bag various things were found including “two trousers, two jackets, a vest and a T-shirt, a gun containing three bullets, an iPad, two pairs of socks, a pair of pants, two CDs, tax invoices, 17 bullets, Gwajima’s passport and three cheque books,” he told the court.

The accused were arrested for being in illegal possession of the gun since the gun is only authorised to Josephat Gwajima and not any one else. Right now they are all out on bail and the case is set to be dealt with on October 10 2015.

Meanwhile the hearing of the case facing Josephat Gwajima charged with abusing Cardinal Polycarpi Pengo was yesterday adjourned to October 2, 2015 because the prosecution didn't have their witnesses ready. Before the same court, State Attorney Jackline Nyantori requested the court for another date because they found it difficult to bring witnesses because the accused was facing another case which came for hearing as well.

Back in March Josephat Gwajima insulted Cardinal Polycarpi Pengo at Tanganyika Packers ground  Kawe. He Said my name is Gwajima I say he is stupid and ignoramus. Implicating Cardinal Pengo acts childish and of inferior intellect something which could have cause breach of peace.
