Police managed to seize six bags of marijuana in Simiyu region, after their owners abandoned the bags. It was reported that the owners realized there were police on patrol and abandoned their bags in fear of being arrested. Speaking to journalists yesterday at police station of Lamadi district; Regional Police Commissioner (RPC) of Simiyu Mr Germini Mushi said:
"The six Marijuana bags weighing 269 kilograms were caught during police patrol after their three owners abandoned their bicycles with the bags, soon after they saw police."
Moreover commander Mushi also said on 22nd December 2015, at around 3.00pm, a car with the registration number T 366 VCJ of J4 company; was found with a bag of qat weighing 20 kilograms.
