Christmass holiday continues and many people wants to travel to up country to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. It's well known in Tanzania that Chagha tribe from Kilimanjaro and Arusha region prefer to go home during Christmass and this year, they are accused of causing chaos at Ubungo station. Lol!!
According to Mtanzania newspaper reporter Koku David, the number of people at the station is quite huge compared to the buses available, therefore people decided to fight to get a bus ticket. The chaos began when few people chose to transcend others who were in queue at Meridian bus office and went straight to the office to get the ticket. The people in the que didn't agree with it and one of them was heard saying
"if you want us to fight then we will fight, it's totally unfair for us to stand in the que for a long time waiting to get a buss ticket and others are coming straight to the office to get it, just because they are in hurry." Meridian bus travel from Dar Es salaam to Rombo District in Kilimanjaro region.
On the other hand Meridian bus workers said the tickets for Kilimanjaro route aren't available but travelers don't want to understand and leave their office.
Lol! Chaghas can't stand to celebrate Christmass in the city!!!
