The citizen newspaper exposed the machines used by herbalists as a tricky to earn money from patients, on Sunday. The government Has finaly react over the report and asked herbalists to surrender the license of the machines they use within two weeks for further inspection.
Ms Mwalimu urged all herbalists not to ignore the order and submit all their registration documents as well as operating license to the authority before the time expires. Whoever refuse to comply with the order, disciplinary actions and punishments will be taken against them by the authority.
This order from the minister is emphasized soon after The Citizen newspaper published a report exposing the diagnostic machines used by the herbalists. According to their report which was published on Sunday, most of these machines are imported from China and Korea, the machines are capable of scanning the entire body and detailing in few minutes the state and well being of each organ within the body.
On the other hand Ms Mwalimu has asked herbalists with complains over directive measures and conduct from the authorities, to report their complains to the ministry before the ultimatum expires.
