Travelers Stranded at Ubungo Bus Station

Some of travelers going to up country by bus were stranded at Ubungo bus station in Dar Es Salaam after failing to secure a bus ticket for four consecutive days. Majority of these travelers were going to Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Dodoma region to celebrate Christmas with their families. However some of them decided to travel in the Christmas Day while others postponed their trip.

One of the travelers told The Citizen reporter, "since we have already planned to celebrate this day with our relatives at our birth places, there is nothing that could have stopped us from traveling; but buses are few so the situation is very challenging." Said Mr Ngeka.

On the other hand a traveler who introduced himself as Mr Majaliwa Makoye said "I have decided to go back home and set plans for the forthcoming new year, there are no signs of traveling anymore." Mr Makoye was traveling to Kahama in the lake zone.
