TBC Director Speaks On Chereko Television Program

TBC Director Clement Mshana has finally speak on the television program "Chereko" which shows viewers kitchen party, sendoof and wedding ceremonies. Few days back TBC1 aired a wedding ceremony happening live through Chereko program, which got a lot of people talking saying it's wrong and TBC1 has violated broadcasting laws. This led minister of information, art and sports Nnape Nnauye to ask TBC director to explain why the station televised the program.

Clement Mshana said TBC1 has not violated any broadcasting laws because televising a live wedding ceremony was a decision of the viewer and not TBC1 crew. The viewer was given enough instruction on what to do during the live wedding ceremony.

However Clement said TBC1 is ready to receive suggestions from viewers and work on them, so as to improve the performance of the station.

Few days back TBC1 televised a live wedding ceremony for over two hours, Chereko program was also moved from Sunday schedule to Saturday. This got a lot of viewers to complain through social media with some saying how can a single viewer use gorvernment station to show his/her wedding for over two hours, instead of the station to show important programs to all its viewers.
