Professor Mbarawa is annointed to run the ministry of construction which was efficiently and effectively run by president Magufuli before he became the president. Dr Joyce Ndalichako who is the former general secretary of National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) is selected as a minister for Education, science, technology and vocational training.
Professor Maghembe is selected as a minister for tourism and natural resources. There has even been a reshuffle in the appointment of Professor Makame Mbarawa as the Minister for Water and Irrigation, moving him to the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications, to be replaced by Engineer Gerson Lwenge who becomes the new Minister for Water and Irrigation. Mr Hamad Yusuph Masauni is appointed as a deputy minister for home affairs.
