Ludewa and Masasi Constituencies Election Postponed

Ludewa and Masasi Constituencies parliamentary election has been postponed until next year 2016. The National Electrol Committee (NEC) chairman Judge Lubuva said the state has to first deal with the left over of Arusha-urban and Handeni constituencies election for now, therefore Ludewa and Masasi have to wait.

Ludewa and Masasi are constituencies located in Njombe and Mtwara region respectively, it's parliamentary election was postponed during the national election because their MP candidates Deo Filikunjombe (CCM) and Emanuel Makaidi (NLD) respectively passed on few weeks before the election.

On the other hand the chairman of ACT Wazalendo youth Wing chapter for Arusha Mr Kessy Agustino complained to NEC chairman that other parties are sending short text messages to people asking them for votes. These text messages have been reaching people even on the Election Day, something which is not right, as no campaign is allowed during that day.

JudgeLubuva directed the Regional Election Coordinator to communicate with Tanzania Communication Regulation Authority (TCRA) so as such messages will be quickly stopped, to allow the election move peaceful without any sort of campaigns.
