According to Regional Commisioner (RC) Dr Kebwe Steven Kebwe, four districts which are severely affected are Kilosa, Kilombero, Morogoro and Malinyi. Kigoma urban law maker on ACT-Wazalendo ticket Zitto Kabwe now wants Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Job Ndugai, to form a parliamentary select-committee to probe into $6million (about 12bn/-) bribery scandal in a treasury bond deal with a UK bank on March 8, 2013.

The outspoken MP demanded in Parliament that the committee should launch investigation into the UK based Standard ICBC and Stanbic Tanzania to obtain the entire truth on the matter. Reports say the hefty bribe facilitated the purchase of $600 million (Sh1.2 trillion) treasury bonds in 2013 by the UK based Standard Bank.

President Magufuli Revokes Apointment of TIC Executive Director

President Magufuli decided to revoke the appointment of Tanzania Investment Center (TIC) Exexutive Director Ms Juliet Kairuki and he appointed Mr Clifford Tandari as Acting Executive Director.

Reading the statement from the president, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industy, Trade and Investment , Professor Adolf Mkenda said; the president made the decision on April 24.

Hon. Magufuli decided to do so after he was informed that Ms Juliet had not taken her salary from April 2013 when she was appointed to date, something which raise a lot of suspicions.

However Magufuli said  if Ms Juliet Kairuki still want to work with the government, she will be assigned other duties.

Minister of Constitution and Law, Dr Harrison Mwakyembe said, the government plans to submit a bill for marriage law in the parliament, which will ensure all children who are forced into child marriages will not be suspended from their either primary or secondary schools.

Dr Mwakyembe said so when he was providing the answer for the question asked by Ileje MP, hon. Janeth Mbene, which said; When will the government change marriage law?

Nape Nnauye Says Using Parliamentary Studio Has Positive Effects

 Minister of Information, Culture, Art and Sports Hon. Nape Nnauye said the parliamentary decision to establish one studio to record Bunge (Parliament) sessions and distribute to other independent radio and television stations has a number of positive effects to all wananchi (citizens). 

Nnauye said few amongst the positive effects is that the budget to Bunge live shall be reduced at a large percent. Beyonce's Unauthorized Biographer Speaks about 'Lemonade' Controvesy

Beyonce's Unauthorised Biographer  J. Randy Taraborrelli was interviewed by Cosmopolitan.com on 25th April and he said, he doesn't think Beyonce's new album 'Lemonade' is about Jay Z's infidelity. Beyonce is more likely to have referred to her parents marriage and probably her previous relationship rather than her marriage to Jay Z.

Taraborrelli insisted that the album might have been inspired by the marriage of Mathew Knowles (Beyonce's father) and Tina Knowless (Beyonce's mother) prior to their divorce which happened 2011.  Mathew cheated on Tina during their marriage and Beyonce witnessed her parents relationship turning sour due to that. Moreover Beyonce had a relationship prior her fame with Lyndall Locke who also cheated on her.

WEO provides report every April, September/October in each year, and its latest report has mention Tanzania as one of the countries which its economy is expected to grow at 6.9 percent.

President Magufuli Sends His Condolences to Kenya President

President Magufuli has sent a note of condolences to president Uhuru Kenyatta over the death of Former Kenya First Lady, Mrs Lucy Kibaki. Hon. Magufuli said he is very sad about the death and he  sent his deepest condolences to all who have been affected by this loss.

TCRA Body of Directors Dissolved, DG Suspended

President John Magufuli has dissolved the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) board and suspended its Director General, Dr Ally Yahya Simba, for failing to implement the Telecommunications Traffic Monitoring System (TTMS) convention.

The failure was subsequently denying the government about 400bn/- per year. The decision came after a meeting involving the president, leaders and experts from the Ministry of Works, Communications and Transport, Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Preventiom and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB).

Prince's sister Tyka has filed legal documents asking the Judge to choose special administrator because Prince didn't leave any will. According to Minessota law a Judge is granted permission to choose special Adminstrator incase the deceased didn't leave any will. Wendy Williams Talks About Beyonce's Album 'Lemonade' Controvesy

Wendy Williams gave her own opinion about the 'Lemonade Album Controvesy' which has been circulating in the Internet for some time now. According to Wendy, Beyonce's Album Controvesy is for publicity stunts therefore she should have at least waited until the sudden death news of Prince to blew over.

Well if you still don't understand here is a simple explanation, Beyonce relised her album 'Lemonade' which has plenty of lyrics about infidelity from the husband. Many thought Beyonce is talking about Jay Z cheating on her with Rachel Roy specially after Rachel posted something on Instagram that suggested so. Of course Behive(Beyonce's Fans) have been attacking Rachel for interfering Queen Bey marriage.

Wendy had this to say about the issue, 
"Quite frankly, I wish that Beyoncé held off on this whole album untill Prince.. until the entire weekend kind of blew over." 

Wendy also insisted that the whole thing is publicity stunt for Tidal and nothing more. She also blasted Rachel Roy saying that probably she was paid by Jay Z to add fuel to the rumors just to improve sales. 

"[It's a setup]. Rachel Roy, first of all, you're not this fighting girl," Wendy blasts. "Unless you're on Jay Z and Beyonce's payroll and they paid you to mix it up to add, I guess, more sales for this 'Lemonade.'" 

Morover an anonymous commenter also gave opinion about the issue and this is what he/she said. Beyonce not canning this thing in light of Prince's shock death is trashy, disrespectful, and honestly, pathetic. We're not even sure that "Lemonade" is even a reality, and yet it, in some circles, overshadowed the death of a man of real, celebrity, musical talent ... unlike Beyonce herself.

Prince's Lawyer Insists Prince Wasn't on Drugs

Prince's lawyer L.Londell McMillan stated that he worked for Prince for 25 years, and he was once his manager, throughout the time he never saw him use drugs. McMillan insisted that Prince lived a healthy lifestyle, he was Vegan, neither alcoholic nor drug addict. 

McMillan also told Asociated Press that he lastly spoke to Prince on Sunday after he had the emergency landing of his plane  and he was happy and completely healthy.
"He said he was doing perfect, He said 'OK, I'll call you soon.'" McMillan said

Kenya former First Lady Lucy Kibaki has died, the sad news has been announced by Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta. Lucy Kibaki passed on today morning while undergoing treatment in Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London. She was sick for over a month and received treatment in Kenya then she was laiter taken to London UK for further treatments where she met her death.

ILO Hails Tanzania's Transformation Drive

The government is on the right track in its plans to bring about transformation in the country, theInternational Labour Organisation (ILO) Country Director (Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda),Ms Mary Kawar, has said.

Man Arrested For Disgusing as a Woman to Hook Up With Men in Malawi

One man has been arrested in Lilongwe Malawi, for disguising as a woman to hook up with men. According to Zambezi reporters, one man found this man disguised as a woman in area 49 near Kagwa Parish, then they agreed to go to another area within the city known as Dubai to have sex. When they got to the place he was shocked to realize she is also a man covered in makeup, lipstick, and weave. He was beaten up and laiter police arrived and arrested him, he is currently in police custody for interrogation.

Oil Pipeline Ready June 2020

Construction of the 1,403 kilometer pipeline to transport crude oil from Hoima in Uganda to Tanga Port in Tanzania is expected to be completed by June 2020, the minister for Energy and Minerals, Professor Sospeter Muhongo, announced. 

Implementation plan for the U.S. $4 billion (about 8.7trillion/-) will be up for discussion next Friday in Tanzania where the Ugandan Minister for Energy and Minerals, Ms Irene Muloni, will lead a delegation from Kampala.

350 Ghost Workers Detected in Arusha City

Some 350 ghost workers have been detected in Arushs Region, draining the Exchequer of about one billion shillings annually in salaries and other emoluments. Initially the figure was 270 at the end of the two week deadline issued by President John Pombe Magufuli during the swearing in of the new regional commissioners mid last month.

However the screening exercise for all employees working with the central government departments as well as the local authorities was redone in Karatu and Meru districts, where 80 more ghost workers were identified. They have been getting salaries for years but nowhere to be seen. Speaking during the handing over of a report on ghost workers to the regional commissioner Felix Ntibenda, the regional administrative secretary (RAS) for Arusha Adolf Mapunda, all the non-existent 350 were receiving salaries between July 2014 and March 2016.

Muhimbili Hospital Nurses Accused of Mistreating Patients in Martenity Ward

Muhimbili hospital is Tanzania national hospital located in Dar Es Salaam city, it is the hospital which treats almost all diseases and it attends to referral patients from other hospitals in Dar Es Salaam and up country. The hospital is also equipped with all necessary medical equipment and it has almost enough human resource to attend to patients.

There has been complains from patients in maternity ward (300-350 patients) that nurses who attend in that Ward are rude and insensitive. Mwananchi newspaper sent a journalist to investigate these rumors, the journalist stated in the hospital for two weeks and discovered some things.

Prince needed emergency treatment from the same drug used by the late singer Michael Jackson. According to UK Mirror the autopsy for Prince was done yesterday on Friday and his body has been released to his family. However the test results will take few weeks as medics awaits the outcome of the tests. Magufuli's 50bn/- to Villages Shall be Released Next July

Implementation of President John Magufuli's promise to provide 50m/- to every village for development starts in the 2016/2017 financial year, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Labour, Youth and Employment, Antgony Mavunde said here yesterday.

Barack Obama has expressed his sadness over the sudden death of music artist Prince. The U.S. President said Prince was a virtuoso instrumentalist, a brilliant bandleader and an electrifying performer.

New Envoys To Be Deployed Abroad

Minister for Foreign Affairs, East Africa, Regional and International Cooperation plans to deploy 105 staffs to foreign embassies and recall 79 others, whom their contracts have expired. Speaking with the media yesterday in Dar Es Salaam, the ministry's head of communications, Ms Mindi Kasiga, said Tanzania has 35 embassies abroad with 234 officers. The ministry shall send people who are capable of representing Tanzania in international meetings as well as perform other duties as ordered by President Magufuli.

Kigamboni New Bridge Officialy in Use (Photos)

 Kigamboni bridge is officially in use since yesterday April 16, 2016; meanwhile vehicles will be charged while pedestrians can cross the bridge freely. The construction of Kigamboni bridge started in February 2012 and was meant to be completed in January 31, 2015 but that was impossible due to some challenges constructors faced.

The bridge has cost 214.6 billion which 25 percent of it will be paid in shillings while the remaining 75 percent will be paid in dollars. Engineer in charge of the construction has asked Tanzanias to care and protect all the properties in the bridge because each them costed money. Some of Beggars in Dar Es Salam City are Drug Traffickers- Says Makonda

Dar Es Salaam City RC (Regional Commisioner) Paul Makonda said, according to his research some of the beggars in the city are used for drug trafficking. Speaking through one of the radio station in Dar Es Salaam Paul Makonda said majority of beggars come from upcountry regions therefore it's necessary to return them to their respective homes so as to reduce the number of beggars in the city.
