Tanzania Artists to be Paid 60% of Their Works

Cosota committee have decided each artist in Tanzania will be paid 60% of either video or audio music they produced. Cosota in collaboration with Copyrights Management East Africa Limited (CMEA) will implement this in January 2016.

Cosota chief executive officer Doreen Sinare said, for each and every musician, producers, song writer will be paid 60% of each audio or video song played by radio and television station within and outside the country. With the help of modern equipments from CMEA this will be implemented and maintained throughout.
