Teenage Killed on Christmas Riding a Motorbike He Got as a Present Just Hours Earlier

A teenage boy by the name Warren Kenny aged 16 was riding a motorbike he got as a present hours earlier on Christmas Day, unfortunately he collided with another motorbike in a high speed crashed and laiter died in the hospital. The second boy on the other bike who is expected to be in early twenties broke an arm and he is receiving treatment.

The accident happened in West Dublin around 8am, it caused a traffic jam as the police had to close the road to inspect the circumstances of the accident. Sinn Fein councillor Daithi Doolan said the accident was a “terrible tragedy”.

He added: “No one expects this on Christmas Day. My thoughts and sympathies are with the family of the deceased. A tragic accident has left one young person dead and a family in mourning."

“I would urge everyone, but particularly our young people, take extra care at this time of the year. When you are out on our roads on motorbikes or scramblers be extra vigilant and look out for each other. Be safe, be careful and come home alive.”
