NEC chairman Judge Lubuva has announced that Dr John Pombe Magufuli is the winner for Tanzania general election 2015 which was done on 25th October 2015. Judge Lubuva said that after announcing the election results for 264 constituencies from Monday 26th October up to today 29th October, on the behalf of the Commision he is declaring Dr Magufuli the winner.
Dr Magufuli of CCM political party gained 8,882,935 votes which is equal to 58.46 percent while his most competitor Edward Lowassa of CHADEMA political party gained 6,077,848 votes equal to 39.97 percent.
Morover Judge Lubuva said based on power invest on him, he has announced Dr John Pombe Magufuli as the new President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Mrs Samiah Suluhu the Vice President of United Republic of Tanzania.
Dr John Pombe Magufuli was born on 29th October 1959 therefore today he turns 56 years old.
