Tanzania Currently Nine Ministers Have Lost Their Parliamentary Seats to the Opposition Party

Tanzania currently nine ministers have lost their parliamentary seats to the opposition party after the general election done on 25th October 2015. All nine ministers come from the governing political party CCM (Chama Cha Mapinduzi), and infactone of the minister has been in the Parliament House since 1972

The ministers who have lost are Agriculture Minister Stephen Wasira - a veteran CCM politician of over three decades - is among the high-profile ministers.

Minister Stephen Wasira has been in the Parliament House since 1972, meaning since the first phase of Parliament House members. This year Dr Wasira tried to take form for presidential post within the party but his name was cancelled and Dr Magufuli was given the position instead.

Others include Investment Minister Christopher Chiza, Deputy Health Minister Stephen Kebwe, Aggrey Mwanrey and Deputy Education Minister Anna Kilango Malecela.

Former ministers Dr Cyril Chami who was the deputy minister for trade and industry  and Omary Nundu.

Moreover almost all constituency have announced their results and CCM political party has lost some of its seats to the opposition party as well as regain others which it had lost 2010.
