No Politics at Work Places and Colleges- Says Prime Minister

Prime Minister (PM) Kassim Majaliwa has refuted claims which said government has provide directive measures to high learning institution' management to discriminate students who don't support the ruling political party CCM. He said so in the parliament as he answered the question asked by CHADEMA MP Ester Matiko, which said "did the government issue directive measures to higher learning institutions to discriminate students who are against CCM politics???

"Workers are allowed to join any political party but they are not allowed to conduct politics at the work place, the same goes for students ... they are not allowed to conduct politics during lessons, so they and others can concentrate on their lessons," he explained.

He added: "Differences might emerge between two students from different political parties ... that has nothing to do with the government. I want to urge you political leaders, don't take such difference as government's position, instead we must look at it as we would see difference emerged between two traders from different political parties."

Ester Matiko gave more explanation saying Dodoma University is one of the high learning institution which students who are against CCM politics are discriminated therefore she asked the government to give directive measures to the institution's management to stop such discrimination. Moreover PM insisted that the 5th phase government will save all Tanzanians regardless of their political views and interests.
