Kariakoo traders have asked for loan worth one trillion Tanzania Shillings from the coming government so as they may improve their business. According to Kariakoo Business Community leader Philiman Chonde if the traders receive the loan, 2,000 traders will benefit with large scale traders having like 500 million Tanzania shillings while small scale traders will have like 50 million Tanzania shillings.
Mr Chonde believes if the government provide the loan will provide the room for them to hold country's economy. He added it is possible for them to hold the economy only if the winning party will see business owners as a vehicle for economic growth.
So far the traders have been receiving loans from banks but majority of these loans have high interest rate which in one way or another doesn't help business operators. It is therefore necessary for the government to consider providing loan for business operators so as improve their capital which will eventual improve production as well as profit after sales.
