Driver Jarrod Spedding and passenger Charlene Liversidge, from Burnley, Lancs, fell in love on board the X43 to Manchester
A bus driver who lusted after one of his passengers for six years, even writing his number on her bus ticket, is now leading her down the aisle.
Transdev driver Jarrod Spedding, 43, said he used to get butterflies when Charlene Liversidge, 33, boarded his Witchway X43 to Manchester.
The couple, from Burnley, Lancs, said they spent years exchanging glances on board the love bus before they finally went on a date.
now they are planning their dream wedding.
Jarrod, 43, who has worked on the bus company for 11 years said: "I used to get butterflies when I saw Charlene at the bus stop.
"I used to write my phone number on her bus pass. Eventually, five or six years on, we met up on a night out and hit it off. The rest is history."
Charlene, who works as a carer, said: "I didn't know his name, but whenever I saw him
I would tell the girls at work. Now we're engaged and planning our wedding, it's just surreal."
The future Mr and Mrs even had a bus-shaped cake at their engagement to mark how they first met.
She added: "It was my idea to have something that represented how we met, it's part of our story. It was a real talking point."
