The Chairman of Democratic Party (DP) Reverend Christopher Mtikila has died this morning due to car accident, which happened in Msolwa Chalinze. Reverend Christopher Mtikila death reports has been confirmed by the General Secretary of Democratic Party (DP) Mr Abdul Mluya.
Regional Police Commissioner Mr Jafari Mohamed has also confirmed the death news, he said Reverend Chritopher Mtikila was in the car with other three passengers, and he was traveling from Morogoro to Dar Es salaam city. The accident happened in Msolwa Chalinze, three passengers were badly injured while Reverend Christopher Mtikila lost his life. According to the police report the deceased died around 5:45AM and the three injured victims have been taken to Tumbi Hospital for treatment. The deceased body is also in Tumbi hospital morgue.
Reverend Christopher Mtikila did take form for presidential post but his name was later canceled by NEC because he couldn't meet all the necessary qualifications. He also played a great role in reforming Tanzania constitution, in fact he requested the parliament not to allow discussion of the formation of Islamic court within the country.
Reverend Christopher was born in Mbeya region 1950, he studied abroad and was specialized in human rights and he was the head of Full Salvation Church.
