Mr Kingunge Ngombare Mwiru Withdraws His Membership in CCM Political Party

The veteran politician Mr Kingunge Ngombare Mwiru has withdraw his membership in Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) political party. Mr Kingunge has been a member of CCM for a very long time now, infact since its foundation, he has also serve in different positions within the political party and in the country.

However the veteran politician said he is not joining any other political party, he just want to be an independent and free Tanzanian. On the other hand he said in the ongoing campaign majority of Tanzania groups especially youth, women, employed, and others wants changes so he also support the idea of changes.

He also said when a political party owns power for a long time, they get drunk and totally confused in it, so it's necessary to do the changes.

One of the reporters asked him " if Mr Edward Lowassa was selected to run for presidential post within CCM political party will you still withdraw your membership today?"

Mr Kingunge replied " since in the beginning when we were still looking for the right candidate within the party I checked all the names of the candidates and I saw the name Edward Lowassa, now remember perfect candidate is a person who is loved by all citizens regardless of their political views. Edward Lowassa is loved by many people within the party and outside and the way I know him I know he can."

However he didn't say the exactly answer if he would still withdraw his membership or not.
Mr Kingunge said all these in the meeting with reporters which was broadcasted live by ITV television station.
