Red Cross Office in Tanga said UKAWA leaders decided on their own to cancel the campaign meeting in Tangamano ground due to their own self reasons, and not due to congestion as reported before by the media.
The report provided by Red Cross Office yesterday to the media said:
"There is nobody hurt in Tanga campaign meeting, there is no any death report from any health facility in Tanga."
According to that report UKAWA leaders decided to end the meeting without consulting neither police force or Red Cross who are responsible for citizens security. Moreover along with cancelation of the campaign meeting the UKAWA presidential candidate, Mr Edward Lowassa addressed the citizens for few minutes therefore he was able to continue if he wanted to.
Red Cross has request politicians to stop using professional carriers for political advantages especially during this election time. Moreover Red Cross office said it will continue to watch over citizens security, especially during this campaign time therefore citizens should continue to attend campaign meetings without any fear. There are enough staffs and all necessary equipments to ensure that.
Red Cross insisted that there was no larger congestion in Tangamano ground as the media reported before.
Well I doubt wether this report is true or just speculations, so keep that in mind my readers.
Shirika hilo limesisitiza kuwa katika mkutano huo katika Uwanja wa wazi Tangamano, haukuwa na msongamano mkubwa kama ilivyoripotiwa na baadhi ya vyombo vya habari.
