Dr Emmanel Nkaidi, the chairman of National League for Democracy (NLD) party has died yesterday on Thursaday at Walgurga missionary hospital in Nyagao Lindi. The deceased was also the co- chairman of the coalition four opposition parties UKAWA.
His wife Modesta said Dr Emmanuel had high blood pressure but the doctors from the hospital he was receiving treatment said the deceased also suffered stroke, which took his life around mid afternoon.
Political parties registrars Judge Francis Mutungi has also confirmed his death, "It is true that he died at the hospital where he was receiving medical treatment. More information will be availed later,” he said.
Dr Emmanuel had run for presidential post in 2005 and he got 0.19% and seven position out ten candidates. This year he was running for member of parliament seat of Masasi district under UKAWA umbrella. He is survived by wife and eight children.
