President Kikwete has appoint new 13 district commissioners and relocate 7 others just 20 days before general presidential election. According to the directorate of presidential communication report to the media the appointees are as follows:
- Mr Shaaban Athuman Ntanambe, district commissioner of Chato District in Kagera region.
- Thabisa Mwalapwa, district commissioner of Hanang district in Manyara region.
- Richard Kasesera, district commissioner of Iringa district in Iringa region.
- Ruth Msafiri, district commissioner of Kibondo district in Kigoma region.
- Abdallah Njwayo, district commissioner of Kilwa in Lindi region.
- Asumpta Mshama, district commissioner of Wangingombe in Njombe region.
- Mussa Utaly, district commissioner of Mpwapwa in Dodoma region.
- Dauda Yasin, district commissioner of Makete in Njombe region.
- Honorata Chitanda, district commissioner of Ngara in Kagera region.
- Vita Kawawa, district commissioner of Kahama in Shinyanga region.
- Christopher Ngubyagai, district commissioner of Mkalama in Singida region.
- Hawa Nghumbi, district commissioner of Kishapu in Shinyanga region.
- Mrisho Gambo, district commissioner of Uvinza in Kigoma region.
- Fadhili Nkurlu, who is transferred from Mkalama district in Singida region to Arusha district in Arusha region.
- Wilson E. Nkambaku, who is transferred from Kishapu district in Shinyanga to Arumeru district in Arusha region.
- Francis Miti, who is transferred from Hanang district in Manyara to Monduli district in Arusha.
- Jowika Kasunga, who is transferred from Monduli district in Arusha to Mufindi district in Iringa.
- Muhingo Rweyemamu, who is transferred from Makete district in Njombe region to Morogoro district in Morogoro region.
- Hadija Nyembo, who is transferred from Uvinza district in Kigoma region to Kaliua district in Tabora region.
- Benson Mpyesya, who is transferred from Kahama district in Shinyanga region to Songea district in Ruvuma region.
