President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete will address Kenya Parliament on Tuesday next week, the president is preparing to step down from the office late October. The present will address both Kenya National Assembly and the senate at parliament buildings in Nairobi.
President Kikwete will be the second leader of foreign nation to address Kenya Parliament. The former Nigerian president Mr Goodluck Jonathan was the first to address Kenya parliament on September 6, 2013.
Parliament speaker of Kenya Mr Justin Muturi told other members of parliament that president Kenyatta Uhuru has written a letter to him asking permission for Tanzania president to address the parliament.
"I would like to inform you that, after enough discussion between the Senator and me, we have agreed Tanzania president to address the parliament."
For some time now, Dr Kikwete has been traveling to different places withinTanzania to say goodbye to the citizens.
General election for the new Tanzania president will be done on 25 October
However Dr Kikwete will not be the first president to address parliament of another country, on 10 August 2015 President Kenyatta addressed Uganda parliament during his official three days visit in Uganda.
