Nzega town district MP, Hussein Bashe has asked the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Bernard Membe to let president Magufuli fulfill his responsibilities anyhow he see fit and not to interfere his decisions. Bashe also said, "the subject that President has reduced the form and not the content of cabinet, or the allegation that trips to abroad are necessary and president Magufuli is wrong to erase them; belong to a bankrupt politician."
"Membe was part of the weak system which has brought the nation to this point we are. He benefited from the trips abroad not the nation. Membe should remember every president has his own vision, Magufuli believes problems of this nation will be solved by us controlling misuse of fund on unnecessary things and not trips to Europe everyday beging for aid." Bashe added.
"It's very important for Membe to know that Magufuli has his own style of fulfilling his responsibilities, we will asses his performance latter as for now we haven't see any problem yet with the decisions Magufuli made. Maybe Membe should say cancelation of trips to abroad has made him loose the chance of being general secretary of Commonwealth and that's why he is criticising Magufuli now." Bashe said
Bernard Membe was interviewed by Mwananchi newspaper last week were he criticised Magufuli's decision to reduce the form of cabinet and cancelation of trip to abroad for the purpose of reducing government expenditure.
Membe said this decision does not reduce government expenditure because what Magufuli has done is reduce the form of cabinet not the content, therefore the expenses needed to carry out the work load in the cabinet is still the same. Membe also said Tanzania cannot disconnect from the rest of the world as if it the Isle of its own kind, therefore is still necessary to attend trips abroad so as to encourage toures to visit Tanzania.
