TRA Chief Commissioner Office Invaded, Computer Stolen

Unknown people invaded TRA chief commissioner office and stole computer plus some other things. According to Mwananchi newspaper and police amongst other things stolen, the computer used by Dr Philip Mpango when he was the acting General Commisioner of TRA was also stolen. It's possible that the computer had the information of all tax evaders and also the containers lost in Dar Es Salaam port.

Commander of Police Simon Sirro said four people have been arrested regarding the invasion. He also said things stolen are  two computers, one television and decoder. The four people arrested are two security guards from Suma JKT who were on duty when the incident happened, secretary and check of the office.

However Director of service and education to taxpayers Richard Kayombo denied the reports of invasion and insisted it was just thieves trial to invade without success. "Nothing was stolen because they weren't able to make it inside the office. All office properties are safe and the police have been informed about the incident, they are conducting their investigation on who tried to robe." He said
