CHADEMA youth conducted their meeting today at CHADEMA headquarters which was also participated by "Umoja wa Chadema wa Wanafunzi wa Vyuo Vikuu" CHASCO. The CHADEMA Univeristy youth, have asked President Magufuli to nullify the decision reached by the government yesterday. The government decided National Assembly (Bunge) meetings will not be broadcasted live so as to reduce cost incurred by national television TBC.
CHADEMA youth said the reasons mentioned by the government holds no water, because lately Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has collect more than 1.3 trillion. This amount is large compared to 800 billion collected in the fourth phase of President Kikwete, in which Bunge was broadcasted live.
"Therefore the government should adjust its budget and afford the necessary cost required to broadcast Bunge meetings live. However every Tanzanian in the social media is asking for this decision to be revoked because every citizen has a right to see live what MP he/she voted for is doing during National Assembly Meetings." Said CHADEMA youth spokeperson. CHADEMA youth have given the government two days to change its decision.
